Ringo Starr dives into country music with new album 'Look Up'
Years after releasing a country album, Ringo Starr is preparing to launch his latest country music venture, Look Up.<br><br>"Look Up" features an impressive roster of artists who have made significant contributions to the genres of country, Americana, and bluegrass, with notable collaborations from Alison Krauss, Larkin Poe, Billy Strings, Lucius, and Molly Tuttle.<br><br>The first single from the album, "Time On My Hands," is out now and showcases Starr's wistful vocals over pedal steel and acoustic guitar.

A chance collaboration
From an early age, country music was deeply ingrained in Starr's life, as demonstrated by his work on Beatles songs such as "Act Naturally" and "Don't Pass Me By," which showcased his talent.<br><br>In 2022, Starr and Burnett met by chance in Los Angeles, leading to a collaborative project.<br><br>Following Burnett's comeback, nine country-influenced tracks were produced, giving birth to Starr's first country album in more than 50 years as well as his first studio release since 2019.

Look Up
The highly anticipated country music project, Look Up, is scheduled to make its official debut on January 10, 2025.<br><br>It has 11 original songs, nine of which were written or co-written by T Bone Burnett. "You Want Some" was composed by Billy Swan, and "Thankful" was co-written by Ringo Starr with longtime studio collaborator Bruce Sugar.<br><br>To commemorate the release of his new country album, Look Up, Ringo Starr will be taking center stage for back-to-back performances at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on January 14 and 15, 2025.<br><br>The tickets for Ringo Starr's upcoming performances at the historic Ryman Auditorium will go on sale to the public on October 25.
