On September 3, Gaga surprised her followers with a sneak peek at her future schedule on social media. The post, which noted key dates for press engagements and the premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux, also included the cryptic note: "XX October: LG7 first single." This announcement confirmed Lady Gaga will release new music in just a few weeks.

The upcoming release follows hints from Gaga over the past year, including a reveal at the end of her Chromatica Ball concert film and snippets of new songs shared during a Paris street performance after the 2024 Olympics.

Gaga’s upcoming album is her first solo project since Chromatica (2020), which she created during a difficult time. In a recent Vogue interview, she said LG7 reflects a shift to a more joyful phase in her life, adding, "This album is about that time but from a place of happiness instead of misery."

Her recent romantic collaboration with Bruno Mars, "Die With a Smile," has already given fans a taste of what’s to come. The song debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and marked Gaga’s highest-charting track since her 2020 hit "Rain on Me" with Ariana Grande.

Lady Gaga is set to release the first single from her highly anticipated seventh album this October, marking her return to pop music. After her recent collaboration with Bruno Mars on "Die With a Smile," fans are eager to hear what comes next from the star.

Beyond her music, Gaga supports rising stars like Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, and Chappell Roan, and also backs Taylor Swift and Kesha in their musical journeys. While preparing for the release, Gaga is also promoting her appearance in Joker: Folie à Deux. Despite her packed schedule, she remains committed to delivering new music to her loyal fans.
