House Pioneers Klangkarussell's Petrichor fuels 2025 North American club run
More than a decade after their breakout single turned an Austrian duo into global festival regulars, Klangkarussell is back in album mode. Petrichor, released on November 7, 2025, arrives as their second full-length and first since 2014's Netzwerk.

Petrichor doubles as the emotional core of a compact November club run that will bring their music into close quarters with fans across the US and Mexico, a contrast to the festival stages that have filled much of the intervening years.
“We wanted this album to feel like a journey through our world – the highs, the struggles, the quiet moments, the big ones. ‘Petrichor’ is about renewal, about finding beauty in change, just like the smell of rain after a storm,”

What is the name of the instrumental track that became a massive international hit for Klangkarussell in 2013, originally released in 2012, and then re-released with vocals by Will Heard in 2014?
A decade between downbeats
Klangkarussell, first found worldwide attention with "Sonnentanz," whose sax melody became a calling card for early tropical house. After Netzwerk, they shifted focus from albums to singles and, in 2019, launched their own label Bias Beach Records, using it to release a steady flow of tracks while building an independent catalog and loyal audience that now counts in the billions of streams.

Petrichor gathers that period into a 13-track, 80-minute story about change and renewal. Opener "Truth Begins," featuring Blazey and a video cameo from Olympic champion snowboarder Anna Gasser, sets a tone of confrontation and hard-won honesty.

Later, Bloom Twins join on "Cross the Border," which traces the emotional cost of families split by war in Ukraine. Elsewhere on the album, collaborators including GIVVEN, Elmar, Oliva, Redward Martin, Senes, and Marieme widen the palette without blurring the duo's identity.

New chapter on the road
To mark the album's release, Klangkarussell has mapped out a tight sequence of dates between November 14 and November 23, 2025, moving from 1720 in Los Angeles to Hotel VIA in San Francisco, LooLoo in Mexico City, a ballroom show in New York City, and a set at ZeyZey in Miami. In smaller rooms, the long builds and sudden drops of Petrichor can play out in full, turning studio-crafted tension into shared release.

Those shows are also a bridge to a more ambitious step. The duo is preparing a new live act built around Petrichor, planned as their first full stage production in more than ten years. Together, the album, the 2025 tour, and the forthcoming live show sketch a quiet but determined reinvention, as Klangkarussell uses independence and patience to turn a streaming-era success story into a renewed, long-form career.
