Forty years of legacy: LL Cool J returns with 'The Force'

Hip-hop icon LL Cool J has returned to the music scene after a decade-long hiatus, releasing his highly anticipated album "The Force" on Def Jam Records.<br><br>Q-Tip, member of A Tribe Called Quest, is behind the production of "The Force," which features a notable cast of guest artists including Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Busta Rhymes, and Rick Ross.<br><br>This album represents a significant achievement for LL Cool J, as it falls on the same year that marks Def Jam Record&apos;s 40-year history, which is also tied to the artist&apos;s own beginning in the music industry at the age of 16.<br><br>"I called that \[Def Jam\] phone number every day for a week and a half. That demo led to the creation of Def Jam. Now, 40 years later, here I am putting out this record on Def Jam again," shares LL Cool J.
The FORCE: a return to roots
