Chevelle digs a new rabbit hole, but should we follow?

After a four-year break, Chevelle is back with two new singles and an album coming soon that is being awaited by many. The band that once shaped your teenage years has returned with deep ideas, dark themes, and maybe even a nod to a famous cult leader.

Their upcoming album, Bright as Blasphemy, is set to release on August 15. With songs like "Jim Jones (Cowards, Pt. 2)," they aim to explore deep meanings. Chevelle says this album looks at "challenges and potential," much like what you'd hear in therapy.

"History teaches us the longest rabbit hole has no end," they say. It sounds poetic, but don't expect the music or your past relationships to provide any real answers.

Chevelle is an American rock band formed in Grayslake, Illinois, in 1995. The band was originally composed of two brothers, Pete Loeffler (lead vocals and guitar) and Sam Loeffler (drums and percussion), along with Matt Scott (bass and backing vocals). In 1996, Scott was replaced by the brothers' sibling, Joe Loeffler. When Joe left the band in 2005, Geno Lenardo subbed in as the touring bassist until he was replaced by Pete and Sam's brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini. Bernardini departed from the band in 2019, and in 2021, Kemble Walters joined as a touring bassist. The band's first studio album, Point #1, was released on a small record label called Squint Entertainment. Chevelle's second album, Wonder What's Next (2002), was certified double platinum by the RIAA after debuting at No. 14 on the United States albums chart, the Billboard 200.

Touring Like It’s 2004 Again
Starting August 7 in San Antonio and ending October 4 in Sacramento, Chevelle's summer tour is hitting many cities across the country. They're touring with Asking Alexandria and Dead Poet Society, a group of bands that promises an exciting show.

Fans will definitely be excited to see them live again. But if you've already seen Chevelle many times, you may wonder if this show will offer something new or be more of the same as before.

Pre-ordering the album means you'll get the music first, even if it means paying extra taxes. Nothing says rock and roll like unexpected fees.

Bright as Blasphemy might be the new sound you've been waiting for—or just what you’ll listen to on your next thoughtful drive. Either way, Chevelle is back, whether we're ready or not. The new single "Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)" is climbing the charts, while "Jim Jones (Cowards, Pt. 2)" has just come out with a lyric video. Their tour runs from August 7 to October 4. Bright as Blasphemy will be released on August 15 via Alchemy Recordings.
