ADÉLA's Breakthrough Era: PRIMA Lands at No. 4 on the Billboard 200

From Rising Buzz to Billboard Triumph

ADÉLA's debut album *PRIMA* has given the Slovak singer a major moment in her career. The project has opened inside the Billboard 200 top five, turning early buzz into a commercial breakthrough. Streaming, pure sales and a growing fanbase all helped push the record beyond initial expectations. At the same time, the result gives more weight to an album built around ambition, identity and the pressure of reaching the top.

Crashing the Top 5 With PRIMA

*PRIMA* debuts at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 56,000 equivalent album units in the United States. That total includes 31,000 pure album sales and 26 million on-demand streams.

Early forecasts had placed the album closer to 40,000 to 45,000 units, meaning the final result came in stronger than expected. Rather than simply squeezing into the top 10, ADÉLA secured a top-five debut with her first full-length release.

Only Ella Langley's *Dandelion*, Olivia Rodrigo's *you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love* and Morgan Wallen's *I'm the Problem* ranked higher on the September 19-dated chart. Langley returned to No. 1 with 67,000 units, followed by Rodrigo with 64,000 and Wallen with 60,000.

Streaming Dominance and Record-Breaking Hits

Spotify also gave *PRIMA* a strong opening, with the album reaching No. 1 on the platform's Top Albums Debut charts in the US and globally. More than 10 million Spotify streams arrived during its first day, while the record also entered the US iTunes Top 5.

"Ain't in LA" has become the clearest breakout from the campaign. The song gave ADÉLA her first Billboard Hot 100 entry and became the first track by a Slovak artist to appear on that chart, peaking at No. 57. Another song, "Nicole Kidman," arrived with the album on September 4 and debuted at No. 123 on Spotify's Daily Global chart.

The Blueprint of a Bold New Sound

*PRIMA* blends pop with electronic production, hip-hop touches, hyperpop influences and sounds inspired by the late 1990s and early 2000s. Dylan Brady and Blake Slatkin served as executive producers. Songs such as "KGB," "Red Bottoms," "Boys," "Hitachi" and "Therapy" show different sides of her sound.

Brash, club-ready moments sit beside softer tracks focused on vulnerability and strained relationships. The title also connects to her background in classical dance. "Prima" refers to a prima ballerina, matching ADÉLA's stated goal of becoming the "prima ballerina of pop."

From Reality TV Roots to Solo Superstardom

Before *PRIMA*, ADÉLA gained wider attention through *Dream Academy*, the competition that eventually formed KATSEYE. Her elimination did not stop the momentum, and she moved into a solo career.

Capitol Records signed her in 2025, followed by the EP *The Provocateur* and a run of singles that set up her debut album. "KGB," "Red Bottoms" and "Ain't in LA" helped build anticipation before *PRIMA* arrived.

Now, a No. 4 Billboard debut gives that solo path a major payoff. With the Red Bottoms Tour running through February 3, 2027, ADÉLA has a chart milestone to carry into the next stage of the album campaign.

"When I did the Dream Academy stuff, that was not the real representation of me, because you get told what to do... If I would have made it into the group, I would be really unwell mentally. It wouldn't be in the right place for me."
