Prehistory: A singer/songwriter/piano man is nothing new but Larry Lareau didn't follow the likeliest career path, even for music.

While attending Jefferson College (Philly), the requisite childhood piano lessons and chance association with renowned medical human voice specialist(ENT/otolaryngologist), vocal coach and choral conductor Dr Robert Sataloff, MD, PHD  (elite voice doctor of the stars, Mariah Carey. Etc., ) ultimately led him to performing in the opera William Penn at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia with stars from the Metropolitan Opera. He studied voice with Rosalind Hupp (formerly of the Met) and performed in the opera Idomineo at the Walnut Street Theater in Philly.

Being greatly influenced by The Beatles and The Moody Blues, Larry began to compose music at age 10 and never stopped, although it's not operatic.

THE HISTORY OF NOW:

Larry took his first, and only(until this time), solo CD, Reasons Why (pop/rock/alternative) for a European tour.  The disc, released on Captiva Records got the support of German radio station, Gong FM, with a one hour special, broadcasting the complete CD with live interview to promote his New Year's Eve concert in Munich, Germany.

SECOND CD, THE NEW BAND GETS SIGNED:

After formation of the band LAREAU the

CD CHANGES, except for one track, was written by Larry and finished with guitar, bass and drum tracks provided by three members of the Grammy-nominated Christian rock group Sonic Flood.

National radio, Billboard, Media base, FMQB Charting:

The group was fortunate to sign with WARRIOR/Universal Music Group in Hollywood after moving on from RUST/Universal. Having their single “Changes” in the Top 30 made the move easier. It peaked at #25 on Billboard, Radio and Records and Mediabase's AC charts while reaching # 7 on FMQB's AC chart.

We are pleased to be working with Lareau," commented Warrior President Jim Ervin. "They are a group that demonstrates artistic vision from both a songwriting and performance perspective.

With WARRIOR/UMG Band LAREAU's debut album spawned 3 top 30 Hits, CHANGES, CHANGE MY WORLD and DON'T LET ME GO with an original Christmas song YOU'RE MY CHRISTMAS written by Larry hitting #27 on the same charts the next year.

Today:

In 2018 Larry embarked on a new journey in partnership with producer of the CHANGES record Michael Farona in Nashville, TN where Larry is intending on releasing his first LP throughout 2025 since releasing his last single in 2011 (Don't Let me Go).

The new music is mostly a cross between adult contemporary and modern pop/rock as well as with some reworking of 3 of his older songs into completely new fresh sound not necessarily recognizable as related to the older versions as the style and sound has changed significantly.
