Eddie Polk was born on December 23, 1968, in Los Angeles, California. By age 10, he had developed a love for all kinds of music, but by 15, rap had stolen his heart. His favorite artists included Run DMC, Kurtis Blow, Blowfly, Super Rhymes, Beastie Boys, Grandmaster Flash, and Mix Master Spade. At 18, he signed his first recording deal with Gary Porter’s Krunch Records in Los Angeles, and from that moment, he knew where his future was headed. After meeting Auther Jones, a.k.a. June Ski, he began producing his own beats. By 25, in 1999, he launched his first label, originally called Pytch Blakk Production, working with artists like Double Gunnz, Young Tinkadoo Ruffin, Blazze, and K-Oz. It was then he took on the rap name S-Dee. In 2026, Eddie, now known as Eddie Paper, created and certified a new label, Hustle Zone Records, and released two solo albums and one EP.
